Sendy is in High School!  And he was one of the first children to arrive at the HOLD the Children Home.  He was admitted to the Home in March of 2010, only a few months after the devastating earthquake in Haiti.  He is from the small town of Jean Rabel.  Sendy likes to work!  He enjoys getting his hands dirty farming and cleaning the garden on the HOLD Home property.  His favorite subject in school is Experimental Science (like Biology), which is great because he would like to be a doctor when he grows up.  He would also love to visit Port-au-Prince in the future.

Sendy, now one of the veterans of the HOLD Home, is very helpful with the younger children.  It is a very admirable characteristic in Haitian children.  They look after each other.  Sendy and the other children living at the HOLD Home attend school at the HOLD sponsored school located adjacent to the Home.  Soon the kids will have a much larger place to run and play after school.  A security wall has been constructed around a large parcel of land attached to the back of the HOLD Home, so that the kids have more room to run, play, and grow.  It costs about $5 per day per resident to care for a child at the HOLD the Children Home.  Sponsoring Sendy will help support the cost of operating the Home for abandoned and orphaned kids.
