Pictured here, students at Kairos Christian School in Guatemala finally got to return to school in person last month!  The students, faculty, and staff are all thrilled to have students back in the building and classrooms filled again.  Guatemala had some of the most intensive covid restrictions related to schools re-opening, so it has been a lengthy process for students to return.  We are so glad they are back!  In Jamaica, the School for the Deaf had a special service to honor Jaydean, the student who passed away.  Thank you to all who gave toward her funeral arrangements!  They are still mourning this difficult loss, but they continue on serving the deaf community.

In Haiti, there have been many storms from recent hurricanes.  Some areas have experienced flooding and high winds.  We are grateful to report all our HOLD schools and Orphanage are safe and well at this time.  There continues to be protests in the streets throughout the country as fuel prices increase drastically.  Please keep praying for the country and our brothers and sisters there who struggle to make ends meet everyday.  With conditions in Haiti showing little sign of improvement, it remains unknown as to when we will be able to return.  We are grateful for faithful Directors in each HOLD school who continue working hard to ensure their communities receive education.  While the funding for these schools comes from the US, it is encouraging to know our local ministry partners in each school continue the work that we are not able to see in person at  this time.

Christmas will be here soon; please consider making a special donation to the Christmas Celebrations for our schools.  Thank you for all you give!  Your donations and ongoing support make the ministry of HOLD, His Outreach for Learning and Development, possible.  Thank you!

Gratefully in His Hold,

Courtney Carrigan,
HOLD the Children Director
