PORT DE PAIX SCHOOLS

Our six Port de Paix schools along the northern coast of Haiti have remained opened throughout this year! This part of the country has not been affected by the gang violence and students have continued attending school.

Monthly giving helps us keep the Port de Paix schools going, because they are 100% reliant on HOLD the Children funding!

CHRISTIAN ALLIANCE SCHOOL

Our Christian Alliance School, also called CAS, has been able to operate throughout this year. Students have attended school and teachers have remained dedicated to doing their work. This school teaches students up through 9th grade, so there are hundreds of children in attendance every day!

CAPVA SCHOOL

Our Capva School is located in the capital city of Port au Prince, in one of the largest and most dangerous slums in Haiti. It closed for some time earlier this year due to the overwhelming gang violence in this area. The school has now been open since October and students are safe and well! They were excited to return to school where they receive a hot lunch each day.

ONAVILLE SCHOOL

Our Onaville School is also located in the capital city of Port au Prince, Haiti. Gangs took over Onaville in the Spring and did not leave until October. This school has temporarily relocated to the town of Canaan where students can safely attend class. Their original building in Onaville is being cleaned and repaired from damage caused by the gangs. Students will return in January.

HOLD HOME ORPHANAGE

Our HOLD Home Orphanage in Port de Paix, Haiti continues to provide a wonderful home to abandoned children. They receive nutritious food, medical care, clothing, an education, and they are loved by a caring staff and network of supporters. Those 18 and older moved out with extended family over the summer; now there are less children in the Home for the time being.

JAMAICA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF AND VICTORY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

JCSD and VCF, both located in Montego Bay, Jamaica have been up and running smoothly all throughout this year. Students continue learning and will now have a short break from school until after the New Year when they return. We had many Mission Discovery teams visit these schools throughout this year!

KAIROS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

Kairos Christian School in Antigua, Guatemala has had a very successful school year. This is the first school year since 2019 that has taken place entirely in person. They now have 106 students and 2 students that they are sponsoring through college. Teachers are thrilled for their students’ accomplishments and improvement over the past year.
