Pictured above, residents in our HOLD Home Orphanage gathered for a special Christmas Celebration last month!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Thanks to your generous donations, each school and our Orphanage was able to celebrate Christmas with a party.<\/p>\n<p>In each of our HOLD schools throughout Haiti, Jamaica, and Guatemala, students have returned from their holiday breaks!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Classrooms<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>are filled and teachers are hard at work once again.<\/p>\n<p>In Jamaica, our schools are looking forward to having Mission Discovery teams come and visit in the Spring!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>We already have several Spring mission trips taking place, and we look forward to visiting our HOLD schools in Jamaica and Guatemala.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In Guatemala, our Kairos Christian School is making great strides and hoping to acquire land to build a larger school this year!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>We pray God provides this for them, as it is a huge need at this time<\/p>\n<p>In Haiti, things are relatively calm for the moment; we give God thanks for this.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Schools have re-opened for the New Year.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Our Onaville School continues meeting off-site but hopes to return to its regular building later this month. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Great things are happening at HOLD the Children.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>We are excited<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>to announce we will be partnering with an incredible organization to improve our child sponsorship program!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>We will be able to offer a sponsor portal to view updated photos and information on your sponsor child.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>We may even be able to provide communication via letters between sponsors and children!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>This will take several months to implement, but we hope to have the new sponsor portal ready by the summer.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Be on the lookout for more updates about this<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your donations and ongoing support make the ministry of HOLD, His Outreach for Learning and Development, possible.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Thank you!<\/p>\n<address>Gratefully in His Hold,<\/address>\n<address>Courtney Carrigan<\/address>\n<address>HOLD the Children Director<\/address>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":3143,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>JANUARY 2024 - Hold The Children<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/www.holdthechildren.org\/news\/january-2024\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"JANUARY 2024 - Hold The Children\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"Happy New Year!
