Pictured here is Jamaica Christian School for the Deaf student Jaydean Stewart.  Unfortunately, it is with very heavy hearts we share the news that this young lady passed away last month.  She was in high school at JCSD and had been in school there since preschool.  She was an excellent student with big hopes and dreams for her future.  Her inability to hear did not stop her in the slightest.  She had a vibrant personality and was very kind hearted.  Please keep Jaydean’s mother and our JCSD family in your prayers.  This unexpected loss has hit them hard.  Jaydean was taken to the hospital with an infection and it ended up taking her life.  Due to the sudden nature of these events, Jaydean’s mother does not have the resources to properly bury her child.  We are asking for help at this time.  Consider making a special donation to JCSD designated for Jaydean.  Thank you for your consideration.

All of our HOLD schools are located in developing countries with limited resources and little to no means of proper health care.  Oftentimes, something like a mild cold quickly becomes much worse and can be life threatening.  While medical care is not a focus of the HOLD program, some of our schools do have medical clinics and are able to provide improved healthcare to these children living in poverty.  Every time you give, you are impacting countless lives for the better.

Surprising as it may sound, Christmas is around the corner!  Please begin making donations to the special Christmas celebration for our schools.  Thank you for all you give!  Your donations and ongoing support make the ministry of HOLD, His Outreach for Learning and Development, possible.  Thank you!

Gratefully in His Hold,

Courtney Carrigan,
HOLD the Children Director
