HOLD September News: School’s Back!

September is here and many of our schools are teeming with life again!  In Haiti, students have returned for the new school year and teachers are hard at work.  In Jamaica, the government is currently requiring virtual learning for the start of the new school year; they will reevaluate to see if students can return in person mid-month.  In Guatemala, students remain learning from home.  We are proud of the work that teachers and staff at Kairos Christian School are doing to continue educating their students virtually.  It is a much longer and more difficult journey than anticipated, but the Lord continues to work through it all!

Many are aware of the large earthquake that took place in southern Haiti last month.  This was followed by extreme flooding.  All our schools and our Orphanage are safe and well and were not affected by these recent events.  We thank God for this.  Please pray for those who have been affected by these events as many are suffering.

It’s hard to believe it’s time to start collecting Christmas celebration donations!  We would love for you to consider donating an extra gift to your child’s school for their Christmas Celebration in December.  We aim to receive all Christmas donations before December 1.  Thank you for all you give to make this, and so much more, possible!
