School is in session once again!  Our Haiti schools were able to re-open their doors to students and begin their new school year!  Some schools have even provided face masks for all students, faculty, and staff.  We are so grateful to have children in the classrooms and teachers who are eager to do their job.  With students back in school, many of them will be getting their only reliable meal for the day.  And by receiving an education, these children have many more opportunities to succeed.

In Jamaica and Guatemala, our schools are patiently waiting as their governments decide when schools can re-open their doors.  They are talking about early October, and we hope and pray this is the case!  Thankfully in these two locations, the faculty and staff have been able to implement some form of distance learning for many of their students.  Without internet, this is quite a challenge, but teachers are graciously adapting at every turn.

Here at Mission Discovery, we are all hands on deck preparing for our annual fundraiser banquet.  We are doing our banquet virtually this year and would love for you to join us!  On September 10 at 7:00pm CST you can go to missiondiscovery.org and click on the banner at the top of the website to tune into our live stream banquet event.  We hope you’ll make plans to check it out!  Thank you for your support of HOLD the Children and your faithful giving during this time!
