Jamaica Christian School for the Deaf is a residential learning facility that caters to the needs of hearing impaired children.  They cater to the spiritual, academic, social and moral needs of their students who range from two years old to eighteen years old.  As a learning institution, they are striving to put in infrastructure that will allow them to better serve their students, so that these children can become productive, independent citizens of society.

With 45 students now enrolled for the fall and a staff of nearly a dozen, the school is making a tremendous impact on the lives of children with special needs throughout Jamaica.  In a country where these children are often cast aside and called dummies, JCSD is restoring hope and bringing these children back to life.  It’s amazing to see the life, laughter, and love that emanate from the school.  Because the children live on campus during the school year, the staff is truly shaping these children into the men and women they will become.  And I am proud to say they are each well on their way to becoming very fine men and women.

JCSD is just one of our 12 schools that is making a difference for an entire country.  Each HOLD school throughout Haiti, Jamaica, and Guatemala is investing in the lives of their country’s future.  Thank you for your support that makes this possible.
