Anderson Cianer is one of the newest members of the HOLD Home family. He came to us in the fall of 2017. Since that time he has learned and grown quite a bit. Anderson fits in well with the other boys and girls of the HOLD Home. It’s a bit of a chore to get him to smile, but when he does, he will melt your heart!

Armada Denavard

Armada Denavard joined us at the HOLD Home for the first time in 2015. She is a sweet girl with a lovely smile and she likes bright colors. She is rather shy and quiet and doesn't talk much unless she's with her closest friends. She is tall for her age and looks like she could be older than she actually is. Thankfully here at the HOLD Home she can live life as a child and enjoy learning in school. Here she is well cared for, provided with meals, and even has health care.

Benndjina Jean

Benndjina Jean was added to our HOLD Home family in October of 2016. She is from Port de Paix, which is the town where our orphanage is located. She loves playing hide and seek – called “lago” in Creole. She likes writing when she’s in school, and when she grows up, she would like to travel.

Cedeline Borgela

Cedeline is in High School! She is from La Tortue and is our oldest female resident in the Home! She has come along in great ways since joining the HOLD Home and is doing well in school. Her favorite class is math and she hopes to be a nurse someday.

Dieumika Faugue

Dieumika Faugue was born in 2006 but just joined us in the HOLD Home in 2015. Although a newer addition, she fits in well with the rest of the children in the Home. She has made many friends, but still doesn't talk a whole lot! She is in school now that she is with us and is improving from where she first began. Dieumika is enjoying living in the HOLD Home and being surrounded by so many friends and so much love.

Doudley Jeanvier

Doudley is in High School! He is from Jean Rabel, near to where the HOLD Home is located. He loves to play soccer and he also likes cleaning with a broom. Like many children in Haiti, Evens does not have an official birth certificate. This is the case for some of the other children in the HOLD Home as well. Evens arrived at the HOLD Home with very little background information. He joined the family here in 2016, and at that time, he was about 5 years old. We know he began school for the first time when he arrived here. He is learning what it means to be a student and is becoming a better listener. Frandjy Fenetus

Frandjy Fenetus has one of the brightest smiles in all of Lavaud! He has always lived near the HOLD Home, but recently joined in as part of the family when his mother was no longer able to provide for him. Frandjy has cerebral palsy. We have known this precious boy since he was young, and he has progressed beautifully through the years. Although he is differently abled, this does not hold him back in the slightest! Somehow Jocelyn is already a teenager who's in High School! He is local, right from Port de Paix. He is a great leader at the Home – always looking after his little brother, Zachee and helping other kids as well. He is so smart and he loves school. Math is his favorite subject, but he speaks French very well and can also speak and write a little English. He likes to play soccer and his dream is to travel outside of Haiti someday. He would like to become an engineer so he can help his family – that love of math is going to come in handy!

Johnson Pierre is one of our newer additions at the HOLD Home. He joined us in the fall of 2015 and has managed to fit right in in his new home. The children there are so excited to have another friend and brother. Johnson is still a little on the shy side. He likes to practice writing and he hopes to become a Pastor so that he can serve God. We are grateful he is with us in the HOLD Home where he eats well, attends school, and has good care. Many children in Haiti look after themselves at very young ages.

Juliana Blanc

Juliana is in High School! She came to us years ago from the nearby town of Basson Bleu. She is so tall and thin! She has really sprung up in the last couple of years. Some of our team recently brought white boards and helped teach the children English, and Juliana loved this! She also loved using the books we brought. In her free time, she likes to jump rope. She really likes sandals and shoes. Juliana would love to go to the US someday to study. She would like to become a doctor so she can help patients because she really likes helping people.

Julienne and her sister Louisiana arrived at the HOLD the Children Home in 2012, they are from Jean Rabel, Haiti. Julienne is a great help around the Home and actually likes washing the dishes! Lago – hide and seek – is her favorite game to play. She loves school, especially math, writing, and studying her lessons. She would like to be a nurse when she gets older. She would also love to go some places she has never been, especially to visit family.

Naichanie Joseph

Naomie Agenord

Naomie Agenord joined us at the HOLD Home in 2016 and is the youngest of the 3 Agenord sisters here with us. She came from the nearby town of Chan Sol which is a little further inland than Port de Paix. It is a small town, and as is the case with much of Haiti, families struggle to survive. Children are oftentimes forced to begin working soon after they begin walking and talking. Families often use whatever means they can to bring in income and support one another. Nerline was born in the nearby town of Basson Bleu. When she is not busy with school, she likes to play “lago” which is Hide and Seek. Nesly started out as one of our younger boys in the HOLD Home. He is usually pretty quiet and observant when visitors are there. He likes to sit back and watch everything that is going on. He will participate in games or other events when lead by someone else who wants him to be involved, but he rarely jumps at the opportunity to do something new on his own. He is a little shy with new folks, but amongst his friends he can be heard chattering away. He hopes to be a pastor someday!

Rose-Merline arrived at the HOLD the Children Home in February 2012 and is from Port de Paix. She is very comfortable at the Home and has many friends, she gets along well with everyone.
