Fiko is one of the older children in the Capva School, yet he is only in the 3rd grade.  Many children, like Fiko, don't attend school during their early years.   School is just not a priority for Haitian families. Once we get these kids in school we do everything we can to keep them there.  We hope that Fiko will remain is school to realize his dream of becoming a doctor.  There are many years of school ahead of him.  Fiko has six siblings and they all live with their father, 'daddio' as he calls him. His favorite animal is the goat.

Frandjy Fenetus

Frandjy Fenetus has one of the brightest smiles in all of Lavaud!  He has always lived near the HOLD Home, but recently joined in as part of the family when his mother was no longer able to provide for him.  Frandjy has cerebral palsy.  We have known this precious boy since he was young, and he has progressed beautifully through the years.  Although he is differently abled, this does not hold him back in the slightest!  He is a valuable part of the close-knit family at the HOLD Home and we are thankful he is with us.  He is a quick learner.  The other children in the Home are great at helpi

Gabriel Augustin is currently in the 3rd grade at the Christian Alliance School in Limonade, Haiti.  He is ten years old.  He is fortunate to be in school getting an education.  Many children in Haiti do not attend school because they are unable to afford their school uniform and supplies.  Sponsoring a child benefits the school as a whole.  For just $30 a month you can help these precious children receive a valuable education!

Guerlandine is a sweetheart!  She likes to play pretend, and she especially loves pretending to cook!  Her favorite colors are green and yellow.  Rosemerline and Naica are her best friends.  She loves to learn.  Writing is her favorite class at school.  She wants to be a businesswoman when she grows up- that’s right!

Guivensly’s favorite color is yellow.  You can tell from his cute smile, he’s a pretty happy guy!  Despite his rough living circumstances, he is doing better than many children in Haiti because he actually lives with both his parents.  Many children his age have been orphaned or abandoned and are no longer attending school.  Guivensly is just starting his education and we look forward to seeing the progress he makes.
