Dorlens has 2 brothers and one sister and they live together with their mother.  They are left alone for most of the day.  Dorlens is privileged because he is able fo go to school.  His brother and sister do not attend school.  We do not always know why some siblings are in school and others are not.  Sometimes it is because they must  work to help support the family or it could be because there is no encouragement  to go to school.  Sometimes is is because the family cannot afford to pay.

Dawn is a part of the very tight knit group of high school boys. He dominates on the soccer field but is pretty reserved off the pit.  Dwayne makes a good attempt to accomplish his academic work. He enjoys sporting activities such as soccer. He loves dressing up and looking good. As one of the older high school boys, he is looked up to by many of the younger ones.  Thankfully he sets a good example and is a good influence on the other boys in the school.

Like many children in Haiti, Evens does not have an official birth certificate.  This is the case for some of the other children in the HOLD Home as well.  Evens arrived at the HOLD Home with very little background information.  He joined the family here in 2016, and at that time, he was about 5 years old.  We know he began school for the first time when he arrived here.  He is learning what it means to be a student and is becoming a better listener.  He is one of the younger kids in the Home; the older ones are great at looking out for him.  The children here are so much like siblings- the
