Jocely and his twin brother, Jovenel started attending school at Christian Alliance School in September 2013.   Their mother was unable to pay for them to attend the Government school in Limonade.  She was so happy to hear that her sons were able to go to CAS.  HOLD the Children sponsors make it possible for children likes Jocely to be in school. Education is the path for Haiti to become a self-sustaining country.   Getting children in school and keeping them there is a major stumbling block for Haiti.  HOLD sponsors help keep Haitian kids in school.

Kemoy is the leader of his friend group. Whenever he comes to school or walks up to join the crew in conversation, he is greeted by his eager friends to tell him the latest gossip. Kemoy is an extremely nice young man and enjoys conversing with not only his peers, the adults and teams around him. His maturity shows in how open he is with those older than him and how he doesn't shy away from conversation. He has a contagious laugh and is a pleasure to be around.

Lincoln is one the younger boys at JCSD, he has only recently started attending.  He is full of life.  During break time he loves running around in circles or chasing after balls on the playground.  He's very active for such a little guy.  Lincoln is just getting started in school, he is learning ASL for the first time and not quite catching on yet- it will take time.  After all, he is young!  But he is doing well and he gets along well with his classmates.  Being that he's so young, several of his older classmates do a great job looking out for him.

Louisina Pierre

Louisina and her older sister Julienne were both born in the nearby town of Jean Rabel.  Louisina really likes school.  Writing is her favorite subject.  She also loves to jump rope, and she is really good at it!  Her sister, Julienne, is her best friend.  She would like to visit the US and eventually become a doctor when she grows up.
