Somehow Jocelyn is already a teenager who’s in High School! He is local, right from Port de Paix. He is a great leader at the Home – always looking after his little brother, Zachee and helping other kids as well. He is so smart and he loves school. Math is his favorite subject, but he speaks French very well and can also speak and write a little English. He likes to play soccer and his dream is to travel outside of Haiti someday. He would like to become an engineer so he can help his family – that love of math is going to come in handy!
In Haiti, one third of children over the age of six never go to school, so Jocelyn is thankful he is getting an education. At HOLD the children we believe education is the key to breaking the bonds of poverty. We want to equip these children with the necessary tools and skills to be successful in life after the orphanage.
