Michelson was trying to be shy, but it didn’t work very well! He’s a joyful young guy with a lot of personality.  It is great that he is in school and able to be a child.  Many young children in Haiti do not attend school because there isn’t one nearby or because they can’t afford a uniform and books.  HOLD the Children supports the school in Onaville.  By sponsoring a child, you help provide for the school as a whole so that it can continue operating.  Your $30 a month helps to pay teachers, provide school supplies, and uniforms for the children.  Can you help?

Migueline Plaizeme is one of our younger students here at the Onaville School.  She is fortunate to be attending school.  Many children in her community miss out on school because their parents have them working or begging to bring in some kind of money for the family.  Pastor Noel Gespere oversees this school in the Onaville community.  It has experienced much growth in recent years as more and more children start coming to get an education.  We believe education is one of the biggest keys to breaking the cycle of poverty and we hope to bring hope to these children and their community in p

Nahomie is a very good student in all of her subjects, though math is her favorite. She enjoys learning new things in school.  She is grateful for HOLD the Children sponsors helping her and the other children be able to go to t school.  She and her brother and sister, live with her mother in Citi Solei.  This is one of the poorest areas of all of Haiti.  She see so many sick and injured children in her community and wants to be able to help them.  Someday she wants to be a doctor. Thanks to HOLD the Children, she can realize that dream.

Naichanie was living a very difficult life in Port de Paix prior to being rescued by Pastor Francklin, the local Director of the HOLD Home.  Naichanie likes to play “pins” (jacks).  She likes school and Creole (the Haitian language) is her favorite subject.  She loves to sweep and help keep the Home clean.  She wants to be a nurse one day.
