Venante is in the fourth grade. Like most fourth grade girls she likes school, playing with her friends and with her dolls. She helps around the house and attends The Christian Alliance School in Limonade near Cap Haitian. Cap Haitian is Haiti's second largest city and is located on the northern coast of this country where the daily income of a worker is $1. Education is so important and will allow Venante a better future in a difficult land.
