In July 2011, I had the opportunity to visit Kennedy, my sponsored child from Mfangano Island, Kenya. I found out that the day I arrived, his younger brother passed away from unknown causes. Despite that devastating news, it was a blessing to know that my support and my physical presence there was able to bring joy and excitement to Kennedy and his family. And it's wonderful to know exactly who my financial support and prayers will benefit! I enjoyed the time I spent with the family, including the stalk of corn they gave me as a gift!
